This is my taller than it is wide project and it is a cylinder. The dimensions
are 6” by 3 ½”. While I was footing this project I took several tools are carved
groves into the sides, giving the cylinder texture and design. The groves range
from 1 cm to 1/3 cm. In order to exaggerate the groves more I glazed the body of the project black and glazed the inside of the groves with clear. The glazing and the groves help camouflage the fact that this project is not a perfect
cylinder and has a slight flare at the bottom

This is the first bowl of two for the North Bend’s food bank soup fundraiser.
The dimensions of the bowl are 3” by 5 ¾ “. The bowl doesn’t have any special
detailing and is glazed dark blue. The glaze did, however, crawl in a few places on the outside of the bowl. The dark blue gives the perception of the bowl being deeper than it actually is. It also makes the shape of the bowl more defined.
