I should get a plate out of the kiln today, which I hope to have online my the end of the weekend. I am also in the process of glazing my final vase for my set of three, so that should be out the first week we are back from spring break. I also made a choice project on the wheel.

I haven't been as productive as I would like in ceramics this first quarter. The main reason for this is that I have had a lot of back pain restricing my use of the wheel. Luckily I have started physical therapy, easing most of the pain and allowing me to throw and foot more comfortably. I have also had some difficulty setting up my website. I have had my first three projects posted online for about a month and they have been entered as zero's in the gradebook. These projects include my two soup bowls and tall project. They are under the tab 'Finished Projects'. I also have several pictures up in the gallery.  I should also be getting a plate out of the glaze on Friday, which will be my wide project. I am also in the process of glazing my final vase for my set of three. There is also a choice project that has just been placed in the bisque this week and will not be out until after break. My job for this quarter has been to sweep and dust pan. Compared to other jobs I have had in the past I have enjoyed this one, but as more new students get on the wheel it becomes more difficult because they stay on the wheel past clean up.

This week I made my thrid vase for my set of three. I also got a plate out of the bisque, but I am waiting for the burnt orange glaze to be finished.

The fundraiser for the North Bend Food Bank was this past week and I feel fortunate enough to dontae several bowls to the project. I hope this fundraiser not only brings in money to the food bank, but also raises awareness that there is a lot of need in the community and that the food bank is an important resource for a large percentage of families in the valley.

This weeks schedual has been a little messed up. Yesterday I was able to make three projects; a plate, orb and glaze tester cylinder. Sadly, the orb's base was too thin and broke while footing. The other two projects have been sucessfully footed and placed on the bisque shelf.

This week I have kind of avoided the wheel because I have been having a lot of lower back pain, but I was luckily able to glaze the vase I made several days ago. My newest vase is glazed with three different colors, each over laping each other.

Today I made the second vase for my set of three. I'm hoping it's going to be bigger than my first vase.
