This is the second bowl for the soup kitchen project. The dimensions of the bowl
are 3” by 5”. The bowl is a little bit too thick at the base. This could have been solved by removing more clay at the base while footing. It also has a chip on the lip. This occurred while I was taking it home. The outside of the bowl is glazed in turquoise matt and the inside is glazed with black satin. I also took the black and layered it on top of the turquoise on the outside. After it was glazed the black ran slightly, creating an uneven wavy edge to the two different glazes. The color also fades from the  normal black satin to a emerald green and finally a dark streaky black.  The contrast in shine and dull and the way the black run on the outside makes it look as if the bowl were overflowing.
